Professional Agentic (Agile) Workflow
Agile has given teams a durable way to deliver value: short feedback loops, clear roles, and a shared rhythm around discovery, delivery, and inspection. That foundation isn’t going anywhere, but the toolbox around it is changing quickly. AI agents can now take part in refinement, prioritization, forecasting, development, testing, and retrospection, and Agile leaders need a clear picture of what that means for their practice.

Governance & Orchestration: A central theme throughout this module is the human-in-the-loop orchestration layer that governs team–agent collaboration. Agents don’t act unilaterally — every significant decision point is designed with clear human oversight: who approves, who can override, and how the team retains accountability for outcomes. We’ll examine how to structure that governance.
Key takeaways
- Explain what makes a workflow “agentic” and how it differs from AI-assisted or automated workflows.
- Map the existing Scrum / Kanban accountabilities and artifacts onto a workflow where agents contribute to goal-setting, backlog management, refinement, prioritization, development, quality assurance, forecasting and value tracking.
- Read signals a modern backlog surfaces — ordering volatility, throughput, forecast confidence, value-metric drift — and act on them.
- Accelerate prototyping, validation, and testing with AI assistance
- Identify which decisions benefit from human judgement, and which are safe to delegate to an agent.
- Recognize the risks (bias, over-refinement, false confidence, agent sprawl) and how to govern them within existing Agile practice.
Program
This one-day training offers an interactive and practical learning experience, combining short theory blocks with hands-on exercises, group discussions, and real-world applications.
Framing
– From tools → assistants → agents: a short taxonomy
– Agile as the foundation: what agents extend, not replace
Agentic Refinement
– The backlog item as a “living artefact”: descriptions, hypotheses, user stories, specs, storyboards, quizzes, podcasts — all generated and re-generated on demand
Agentic Prioritisation & Value Metrics
– Linking backlog items to Key Value Metrics (KVMs) alongside traditional estimation
– Ordering volatility as a health signal
Agentic Forecasting & Flow
– Monte Carlo forecasting on real throughput data
– Kanban with agent-suggested next actions and block detection
Agentic Sprint Execution
– Agent tasks alongside human work: pairing patterns, handoff, review
– Sprint Data Product (SDP): what an agent-augmented sprint looks like at close-out
Governanc, Risks & Adoption Playbook
– Where agents fail loudly vs silently
– Trust calibration: version families, audit trails, rollback
Who is it for?
This module is designed for people who are familiar with Agile workflows and want to understand how agentic workflow management extends it. Using a live reference product as a demo, we’ll walk a full delivery loop end-to-end and look at each aspect of agile workflows through an agentic lens: what stays the same, what gets amplified, and where new decisions appear.
Typically this training is for team leads, development leads, scrum masters, product owners and delivery leads.
