Andrew Duthie

With over 25 years of experience as a software developer, architect, author, and trainer, Andrew provides deep experience across a broad range of technologies including the OutSystems low-code platform.

Andrew got his start with Visual Basic and COM (an unusual pairing), moved to .NET during his 10-year tenure at Microsoft as a Technical Evangelist, spent many years working with both client and server-side web frameworks, and along the way authored several books on ASP.NET and related technologies. In 2017, Andrew was introduced to OutSystems, and saw in it the best of what he loved about Visual Basic, with a more complete visual development flow, and as a result joined OutSystems where he held several roles until for the next 6 years.

Andrew is a Xebia Senior Technical Architect, an OutSystems Certified Trainer and MVP with over 7 years of experience with the platform, and carries a number of additional OutSystems certifications across architecture, security, and more.
