Originally he is a backend Java developer but shifted to the frontend. Nowadays he leverages his software engineering skills to avoid having to rebuild the frontend every couple of years.
Studying Computer Science Ruben came in touch with programming. It provided problems which are interesting to solve. To solve these problems it is required to understand the techniques that can solve them. This led to a constant drive to understand the tools and frameworks that he works with. He strives to let the technical understanding lead to creating code that not only works but also follows good design principles. This makes the code easy to read and to maintain.
