Robert is a seasoned software craftsman with roughly 20 years of experience building web, mobile, and backend systems. Full-stack with a strong backend focus, he brings deep expertise in the JVM ecosystem & big data, alongside event-driven architectures & microservices. These days, he is embracing AI-assisted development, exploring how generative AI can enhance software craftsmanship and developer productivity.

From startups to scale-ups to large enterprises, Robert has contributed to a wide range of projects across diverse domains. He has a passion for mentoring and knowledge sharing, fostering collaborative learning environments. Robert has held notable roles as tech lead at eBay Classifieds Group, product developer at Adyen, and lead developer on Erste Group’s “George” banking platform. He holds an MSc in Information & Knowledge Management (CS) from TU Vienna and is a certified Training from the Back of the Room (TBR) practitioner.
